NTL SWIMMING & DIVING: TOWANDA COMPETES AGAINST ATHENS, DANVILLE IN TRI-MEET (2025-01-22)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda recently competed against Danville and Athens during swimming and diving action.
In the boys’ 200 medley relay the team of Sean Lauber, Matthew Weinman, Lincoln Shanks, and Lake Strickland took fourth in 2:28.58.
The foursome of Shane Maghamez, Clay Wrisley, Hudson Wheaton, and Braydin Mattison took sixth in 2:32.91.
In the boys’ 200 free Alex Lantz (2:16.51) was fourth, Nolan Deacon (2:16.84) took fifth, Lauber (2:17.17) finished sixth, and Wheaton swam 2:54.31.
Laine Brennick (25.92) was second in the 50 free as Kenneth Carle (28.43) took fifth, and Maghamez (29.12) came in sixth. Shanks swam 29.10.
Brennick also won the diving with a score of 159.
Lantz (1:00.96) came in fifth, as Xander Pratt (1:08.82) was seventh, and Wrisley (1:12.10) took eighth. Nathan Little swam 1:16.22.
Carle (6:59.26) was fourth in the 500 free as Wheaton (8:02.99) came in fifth.
The foursome of Lantz, Little, Pratt, and Carle was fourth in the 200 free relay in 2:00.42. Lain, Wrisley, Wheaton, and Weinman swam 2:02.81 for fifth, while Strickland, Mattison, Shanks, and Curtis Carter swam 2:05.17 for sixth.
Deacon (1:07.39) was fourth in the 100 backstroke with Maghamez (1:19.71) sixth, and Carter (1:21.22) seventh.
Weinman (1:40.33) was fifth in the 100 breaststroke.
In the 400 free relay Towanda’s team of Maghamez, Pratt, Deacon, and Lauber was fifth in 4:30.49, while the other foursome of Carter, Little, Carle, and Lantz took sixth in 4:47. Strickland, Mattison, Wrisley, and Brennick was seventh in 4:53.26.
In the girls’ 200 see Dalila Vegan (2:51.05) was sixth, as Morgan Lamphere (3:01.09) came in seventh. Lamphere (8:02.76) was fifth in the 500 free.
Marin Maynard (32.49) was seventh in the 50 free as Kylee Barnes (32.53) came in eighth, while Allexys Shaffer (39.19) finished ninth. Bertille Roth swam 37.19.
Vega (1:14.11) was seventh followed by Katelyn Blokzyl (1:21.57) in eighth. Roth swam 1:24.65.
Towanda’s foursome of Shaffer, Vega, Roth, and Maynard took sixth win the 200 free relay in 2:19.71.
Maynard (1:40.06) was seventh in the 100 breaststroke.
Towanda’s 400 free relay of Barnes, Roth, Vega, and Lamphere took fourth in 5:25.99.
