Athens led by five after one, then extended that lead to 30-17 at the half. Canton rallied in the third, out scoring Athens 13-8 to make it an eight point game going into the fourth.

The Wildcats, though, went 8-for-11 from the free throw line in the fourth to secure the win.

Ben Fitch had 16 points to lead Canton, as Talin Williams notched 10.

Gunner Resavage added five, with Andrew Smith, Rylan Wesneski, and Quincy Wesneski getting three points each. Ryder Route chipped in with one.

In the second Resavage netted all five of his points for Canton, while Bagzini scored six to lead Athens to the 13-point lead at the half.

Fitch hit two 3-balls in the third, while Williams added five points, as the Warriors cut into the deficit.
