NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: WYALUSING USES BIG SECOND HALF TO PULL AWAY FROM NP-LIBERTY (2025-01-23)

WYALUSING — Wyalusing used a strong second half to pull away from NP-Liberty, 69-45, during NTL girls’ hoops action Thursday.

The Rams led just 36-28 at the half, but out scored the Mounties 33-17 in the second half to get the win.


Emily Johns had 18 points, four boards, and two steals for Wyalusing, as Chloe Bennett netted 13 points to go with four steals.


Alysha Botts finished with 11 points, five steals, and eight assists, as Treanna Nickeson had 10 points, and four assists.


Emily Fowler notched nine points, with Rachel Wilson getting five points, 13 boards, and five steals. Liz Kilmer chipped in with three points.


Wyalusing was strong from the free throw line, going 17-for-21 in the contest.


Kaylee Graham, Haley Litzelman, and Kendall Graham had 15 points each for NPL.


Johns led a strong first quarter from Wyalusing, pacing their 19 point effort with six of her own as they took a 5-point lead in the second.


Fowler scored seven of her nine in the second frame as Wyalusing out scored NPL 17-14 to build the 8-point lead at the half.


The Rams would go on a 20-7 run in the third to put NPL away, with Johns scoring eight in the frame.


Wyalusing (10-6) travels to CV for a 4:30 p.m. contest on Saturday.
