NTL WRESTLING: NEB SEES THREE STILL ALIVE AFTER DAY ONE OF THOMAS AUTOMOTIVE (2025-01-24)

BEDFORD — NEB saw three wrestlers stay alive after day of the Thomas Automotive Tournament Friday.

Mason Alexander (107), Ben Ellis (285), and Alex Gomez (139) had made it to the fourth round of consolations. Gomez went 3-1, Ellis went 2-1, and Alexander went 1-1 on the first day.


Gomez earned three falls on the day while Ellis lost his first match, but came back with back to back wins to stay alive.


Alexander won his first by tech fall, but then lost his second.


Connor Eastabrook (172), Hunter Comstock (121), Kale Howland (152), Russell Martin (145), and Zeryk Thurston (160) all dropped out of the tournament.


Comstock and Howland both went 2-2, Martin and Eastabrook went 1-2, and Thurston went 0-2.


Wrestling continues on Saturday.
