NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: HOT SHOOTING LEADS TROY PAST WILLIAMSON (2025-01-24)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTROY — The Troy boys’ basketball team was scorching the nets at the Commons Building on Friday as they nailed 15 3-pointers en route to their 98-31 win over Williamson in NTL boys’ hoops action.
Spencer Martin hit seven 3-balls en route to a team high, and career high, 21 points, to go with four assists, and three steals.
Jack Burbage had 14 points, and eight boards, as Lincoln Chimics had 14 points, three assists, and five steals.
Trey Teribury netted 13 points to go with four boards, and three assists, while Evan Woodward had 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, and four steals.
Joey Lackey finished with nine points, four rebounds, and four assists, with Joseph Frye getting eight points, and six assists.
Eason Teribury had three points, and four rebounds, with Sam Roy, Cameron Morey, and Aiden Lawrence scoring two points each.
The team also had 31 assists on 38 made field goals, while grabbing 18 steals.
Troy jumped out to a 36-14 lead after one with Trey Teribury scoring 11 of his 13 points in the frame. The Trojans added 30 more points in the second quarter for a 66-18 lead at the half.
Chimics finished with nine, while Burbage had seven in the frame.
Martin took over in the third, nailing five 3-balls as he pushed the Troy lead to 88-20 going into the fourth.
This was Troy’s (13-2) ninth win in a row as they get ready to host Wellsboro Monday.
