NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: WYALUSING COMES UP SHORT AGAINST NP-LIBERTY (2025-01-24)
Northern Tier Sports ReportLIBERTY — A shorthanded Wyalusing team led by double figures early against NP-Liberty, but ran out of steam in the second half as they fell 59-43 during NTL boys’ hoops action Friday.
The Rams led 22-20 at the break, but a 23 point third quarter saw the Mounties take control of the game.
Hunter House had 13 points to lead Wyalusing, with Zibiah Walton netting 11.
Jared VandeMark scored five, with Tyler Caplan, and Myles Kershner getting four points each. Ashton VandeMark finished with three while Will McBride netted two.
Evan McTish led NPL with 14 points.
Wyalusing led 13-7 after one behind six points from Walton. Walton added five more points in the second quarter as the Rams nursed the 2-point lead.
In the third Luke Kreger went off for seven points for NPL, with McTish scoring six as the Mounties took a 43-34 lead. House hit two of his four 3-balls in the frame to pace the Rams.
NPL would add nine more field goals in the fourth to pull away.
Wyalusing (2-12) will host Athens on Monday.
