NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: NEB PULLS AWAY FROM NP-LIBERTY (2025-01-30)

LIBERTY — NEB used a big third quarter to pull away from NP-Liberty, 66-43, during NTL girls’ hoops action Thursday.

The Panthers led 29-17 at the half, then used a 25-point third quarter to secure the win. The win moves NEB won victory away from clinching their sixth straight division title.


Leah Beebe had 19 points, hitting five 3-balls, to go with six assists, and four steals, with Mallorie Maynard adding 13 points, six boards, and four steals.


Becca VandeMark notched 13 points, eight steals, and five boards, as Kara Dughi netted seven points.


Lillie Maynard finished with six points, nine assists, and nine steals, as Lilah Hughes had four points, and three steals. 


Aurelia Kolesar added four points, as well.


Kaylee Graham led NL with 16 points.


NEB jumped out to a 14-9 lead after one behind two 3-balls from Beebe. They went on to out score the Mounties 15-8 in the second as Beebe and Hughes had four points apiece.


Then came their 25-point third frame that saw Beebe go off for nine points off three 3-balls, as Dughi scored all seven of her points.


NEB (12-4) will travel to South Williamsport on Saturday.
