WRESTLING

Saturday, February 15

North Section Tournament at Wellsboro, 10 a.m.: The NTL plus Sullivan County descends on Wellsboro for the annual North Section Tournament. It will be without Athens this year, with the first session at 10 a.m., and the second at 6 p.m.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

While NTL title races are just about over the battle for District IV seeding is still hot. Towanda and Wyalusing are neck-and-neck for the final home playoff spot in Class AAA. If the Rams can topple Athens on Monday that might be enough to clinch the fourth spot for them.

Canton is also battling for the fourth spot in Class AA. If they win their final two games this week they likely will host Southern Columbia.

NEB girls are third in Class AA, but could easier jump to first if they win their final game, and get a little help from above.

The NTL Showdown also looks set, with just Towanda and Wyalusing fighting to see who takes on NEB, and Canton at Troy.

Towanda loses their next game, and Wyalusing wins theirs the Rams could jump into bracket.
