NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA COMES UP SHORT AGAINST WARRIOR RUN IN DISTRICT PLAY (2025-02-20)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTURBOTVILLE — A short handed Towanda boys’ basketball team suffered a tough loss to second seed Warrior Run, 55-19, during the first round of the District IV, Class AAA quarterfinal playoffs Thursday.
Towanda had been battling sickness, and tried to run their game plan through the first half as they were down just 23-8 at the break.
However, the Defenders pulled away in the second half, out scoring them 32-11.
Ben Shrawder led Towanda with seven points, with Bayley Poll scoring six. Markel Garner chipped in with four, as Connor Barnes netted two.
Adam McKee led Warrior Run with 18 points, as James Keifer scored 14, and Cooper Wilkins notched 10.
