NTL WRESTLING: WYALUSING'S HARVEY REACHES DISTRICT SEMIFINALS (2025-02-22)

WILLIAMSPORT — What a difference a week makes for Wyalusing’s Isaiah Harvey. He was fourth at the North Section Tournament last Saturday, but he’s into the semifinals of the District IV, Class AA Championships after Friday.

Harvey (114) wrestled for just 1:15 on the day, getting a 30 second pin in his preliminary match, then scoring a 45 second fall on Midd-West’s Lane Yount in his quarterfinal match, which guarantees him a spot in Regionals.

He’ll face NPL’s Bryce Pequignot in the semifinals.

The other five Ram wrestlers fell into the consolations.

Jonathan Earle (145) opened with a 15-0 tech fall win, but then lost 20-3 in the quarters. He’ll face Milton’s Gavin Whitenight in the elimination round.

Ayden Hunsinger (152) lost a 7-2 decision in the quarters. He’ll get Montoursville’s Ryan Meredith in the elimination round.

Cole Patrick (139) pulled out a 21-14 win in the preliminary round, but then lost 7-4 in the quarters. He’ll face Sugar Valley’s Jarren McCloskey in the elimination round.

Bostyn McMicken (121) lost by a 3:52 fall in the opening round, and will face Lewisburg’s Nolan Altoft in the elimination round.

Daniel Fox (215) lost his opener by a 16-0 tech fall. He’ll face Montgomery’s Evan Hugar in the elimination round.

Wrestling begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
