NTL TRACK & FIELD: CASEY ELLIS TAKES OVER AS TOWANDA'S HEAD COACH (2025-03-04)

TOWANDA — It’s a bit of a change of the guard for Towanda track and field as Casey Ellis takes the helm from outgoing Mark Vail.

“It’s exciting,” Ellis said. “Definitely big shoes to fill stepping in for coach Vail, who coached for 30 years, and I’m pretty sure he had a state qualifier every year.”

The Knights return two state qualifiers between the boys and girls, so Ellis feels he’s got plenty in the cupboard to work with.

“He left us a very good team to take over,” remarked Ellis. “So, overall, I’m really excited.”
