COLLEGE: TROY GRADUATE SEYMOUR EARNS ALL-AMERICAN STATUS AT NCAA'S (2025-03-21)
Northern Tier Sports ReportPHILADELPHIA — Troy graduate Sheldon Seymour secured All-American status at the NCAA Division-I Wrestling Championships Friday.
Seymour is the first NTL wrestler to become an All-American since Athens’ Paul Keysaw won a National title back in 1991.
Seymour, wrestling for Lehigh, defeated Penn State’s Luke Lilledahl 3-2 in tie-breaker-1 during the quarterfinals, riding him out in the end to punch his ticket to the semifinals, along with guaranteeing him a top six finish.
The top eight wrestlers earn All-American status.
On Friday night Seymour lost to NC State’s Vincent Robinson, 4-2, in the semifinal to fall to the consolation semifinals, which will be on Saturday morning.
