AOW: NEB'S MOORE, CANTON'S FITCH HAVE BIG STARTS TO THE SPRING SEASON (2025-03-23)

Spring sports got underway with some exciting games, and big performances. Some teams are three games into their season already, while other have played just one.

On the girls’ side NEB softball went 2-1 on the week, including a big win over defending NTL Small School Champions, CV. During that stretch Kelsea Moore went 6-for-10 with a home run, a double, six runs scored, and 9-RBI, while from the circle she was 2-1, striking out 20 in nine innings of work, earning her the Female Athlete of the Week honors.

For the boys Canton’s Ben Fitch had a strong start as his team went 1-1. He was 5-for-7 on the week with a home run, two doubles, five runs scored - including the game winner against Sayre - and an RBI, earning him the Male Athlete of the Week honors.
