NTL TRACK & FIELD: TROY OPENS SEASON AT WELLSBORO AGAINST WILLIAMSON (2025-03-25)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The Troy track and field teams started the season as they took on Wellsboro, and Williamson in NTL tri-meet action Tuesday.
For the boys’ Ben Warburton won the 100 (11.16), and the 200 (23.52), while Mason Wulff (55.7) took third in the 400.
Evan Geer (2:13.62) won the 800, while taking second in the mile in 4:58.13. RJ Bellinger (11:50.36) came in third in the 3200.
Rylan Breidt won the 300 hurdles (45.32), and was second in the 110 hurdles (17.15).
Troy’s 4x400 relay team of Geer, Jasper Miller, Hart Houseknecht, and Wulff won in 3:52.86, while their 4x100 relay team of Geer, Draden Keltz, Houseknecht, and Wulff was second in 47.30.
Houseknecht, Brody Campbell, Wulff, and Geer took second in the 4x800 relay in 9:03.19.
Kendrick Ross (6-feet, 2-inches), and Cameron Morey (6-feet) went 1-2 for Troy in the high jump, as Ben Osgood (9-feet) was third in the pole vault.
Warburton (21-feet, 3-inches) won the long jump, with Ross (17-feet, 9-inches) third. Morey (39-feet) took first in the triple jump.
Avery Sens (49-feet, 11-inches), and Cooper Watkins (36-feet, 9-inches) went 1-2 in the shot put, while Sens (128-feet, 9-inches), Watkins (96-feet, 1/2-inch), and Gordon Weaver (95-feet, 8-inches) swept the discus.
Weaver (114-feet, 9-inches), and Breidt (113-feet, 2 1/2-inches) went 1-2 in the javelin.
On the girls’ side Haylie Davies-Grove (1:12.96) was second in the 400.
Kylee Roy (16.93) won the 100 hurdles, while Alyssa Parks (48.55), and Roy (53.37) went 1-2 in the 300 hurdles.
The Trojan 4x800 relay of Andrews, Rachel Hinkle, Madelyn Seeley, and Davies-Grove won in 12:21.52.
The 4x400 relay of Roy, Amber White, Davies-Grove, and Parks was second in 4:45.22.
Troy’s 4x100 relay of Andrews, Seeley, Davies-Grove, and Ellie Spalding took third in 55.52.
Parks won the pole vault in 9-feet, while taking second in the high jump at 4-feet, 10-inches. Katie Graham (7-feet) was second in pole vault.
Seeley (95-feet, 1/2-inch) won the javelin, with Ella Lawton (75-feet, 9-inches) taking third in the discus.
