NTL TRACK & FIELD: TOWANDA GIRLS EARN TRI-MEET SWEEP (2025-04-01)

WYALUSING — Towanda girls earned their second straight NTL sweep during track and field action Tuesday.

The Lady Knights scored 93 points, followed by NP-Mansfield (54), and Wyalusing (40). On the boys’ side NP-Mansfield (82) won, followed by Towanda (54), and Wyalusing (52).


For the girls Towanda’s Brynn Woodruff re-broke her own school record, throwing 121-feet, 8-inches, four inches further than last week. She a Knight sweep as Mya Maynard (75-feet, 3-inches) was second, and Lilyann Sproule (71-feet, 11-inches) came in third.


The Towanda 4x800 relay won in 11:25.16, followed by Wyalusing (11:46.14), and then NP-Mansfield (11:47.91).


Towanda’s Katelyn Blokzyl (18.09) won the 100 hurdles followed by NPM’s Nora Furry (19.47), and Wyalusing’s Ava King (20.83).


NPM went 1-2 in the 100 with Anna Kennedy (13.20), and Gabby Bubeck (13.64), with Wyalusing’s Vayda Rought (13.65) third.


Towanda’s Mary-Kate Eberlin (5:50.12) won the 1600, with NPM’s Jaci Fairchild (6:11.79) second, and Knight Kenzie Brown (6:24.90) third.


NPM won the girls’ 4x100 in 53.43, with Towanda (55.45) second, while Wyalusing ‘A’ was third in 55.49, and Wyalusing ‘B’ took fourth in 1:00.72.


The Knights went 1-2 in the 400 with Izzy Larson (1:05.28), and Anna Dunn (1:05.69), as NPM’s Maryn McCarthy (1:08.81) came in third.


Wyalusing’s Camryn Gesford (56.96) won the 300 hurdles as Blokzyl (57.91) was second, and Furry (57.97) took third.


Eberlin (2:46.03) won the 800 with Fairchild (2:55.32), and McCarthy (2:59.50) took second, and third.


Dunn (28.11) won the 200 followed by Kennedy (28.20), and NPM’s Gabby Bubeck (28.31).


Wyalusing’s Gabrielle Palfreyman (32-feet, 1 1/2-inches) won the shot put, with Maynard (27-feet, 8-inches), and Sproule (27-feet, 2 1/2-inches) second, and third.


Wyalusing went 1-2 in the long jump with Addi Vanderpool (14-feet, 2 3/4-inches) and Vayda Rought (14-feet 2 1/2-inches), while NPM’s Madilynn Scott (14-feet, 2 1/4-inches) took third.


Towanda went 1-2 in the high jump with Kennedy Heyer (4-feet, 6-inches), and Natalyn Morris (4-feet, 6-inches), as Trowbridge (4-feet, 6-inches) came in third.


Towanda’s Marin Maynard (8-feet, 6-inches) won the pole vault, with teammate Lexi Lamphere (6-feet, 6-inches) in second. Wyalusing’s Lia Hart (6-feet, 6-inches) came in third.


Brown (14:15.32) won the 3200, with NPM’s Moira Wheeler (15:28.43) in second, and fellow Tiger Alivia Lisowski (16:47.22) came in third.


The NPM girls’ 4x400 relay won in 4:42.13, followed by Towanda (4:47.82), and Wyalusing (5:14.93).


Palfreyman (91-feet, 4-inches) won the discus, followed by Mya Maynard (85-feet, 6-inches), and Sproule (73-feet, 6 1/2-inches).


NPM went 1-2 in the triple jump with Madilynn Scott (30-feet, 3 3/4-inches), and Furry (29-feet, 1 1/2-inches). Vanderpool (28-feet 11 3/4-inches) was third.


On the boys’ side NP-Mansfield won the 4x800 relay in 9:45.93, edging out Towanda (9:46.60), and Wyalusing (9:48.41).


Wyalusing’s James Rogan (16.02) won the 110 hurdles, followed by NPM’s Brady Stetter (18.83), and Wyalusing’s Jack Fischer (19.28).


Towanda’s Jazick Brown (11.56) won the 100 followed by NPM’s Brayden Johnson (11.69), and Wyalusing’s Tyler Caplan (12.30).


NPM went 1-2 in the 1600 with Michael Knefley (5:14.41), and Peter Bishop (5:22.17), while Trennan Tewksbury (5:22.35) was third.


NPM won the 4x100 in 47.68, followed by Wyalusing ‘A’ in 48.16, Towanda (49.06) in third, and Wyalusing ‘B’ in fourth in 50.86.


NPM’s Sudan Benner (53.59) won the boys’ 400 followed by Brown (55.21), and NPM’s Cedric Miller (55.38).


Rogan (43.92), and Fischer (46.87) went 1-2 in the 300 hurdles, as Stetter (47.97) came in third.


Bishop (2:20.33) won the 800, with Towanda’s Anthony Rifenbark (2:21.77) took second, as Wyalusing’s Bradyn Johnson (2:27.25) came in third.


NPM swept the 200 with Benner (23.73), Colton Pellett (24.10), and Johnson (24.60).


NPM’s Brody Grinnell (131-feet, 11-inches) won the javelin, with Wyalusing’s Ethan Vanderpool (122-feet, 3-inches) took second, while Towanda’s Jace Gunther (116-feet, 10-inches) took third.


Wyalusing’s Shay Gartland (19-feet, 2 3/4-inches) won the long jump, with Johnson (18-feet, 11-inches), and teammate Tayton Strange (18-feet, 4-inches) in second, and third.


The Rams went 1-2 in the triple jump with Zibiah Walton (38-feet, 11 1/2-inches), and Gartland (37-feet, 5 3/4-inches), while NPM’s Truman Loudenslager (36-feet, 9-inches) coming in third.


Towanda’s Jacob Carr (11:58.99) won the 3200, with NPM’s Isaiah VanLoon (12:16.94) came in second, with Alexander Mahosky (13:20.81) taking third.


The NPM boys won the 4x400 relay in 3:53.75, as Towanda (4:06.51) was second, and Wyalusing (4:13.95) came in third.


Towanda’s Varrius Farrell (49-feet, 8 1/2-inches) won the shot put, followed by Wyalusing’s Joshua Palfreyman (38-feet, 7 1/2-inches), and Knight Dominik Miller (35-feet, 5-inches).


Farrell (137-feet, 6-inches) led a Towanda sweep in the discus, followed by Jason Valdez (92-feet, 10-inches), and Miller (91-feet, 10-inches).


Wyalusing’s Jonathan Earle (11-feet, 6-inches) won the pole vault, followed by Towanda’s Wyatt Stranger (10-feet), and Gunther (9-feet).


NPM’s Luke Kreger (6-feet) won the high jump with Towanda’s Kole Heyer (5-feet, 8-inches), second, and Ram Dylan Johns (5-feet, 6-inches) third.
