Northern Tier Sports Report
After an off day on Wednesday action returns on Thursday, as long as the rain holds off.

SOFTBALL

Canton (1-4) at Towanda (3-2), 4:30 p.m.: The first cross-over game for either team as the Knights look to keep pace in the NTL standings while Canton battles to get back to .500. Canton’s coming off a tough loss to Williamson.


NEB (5-1) at Wyalusing (2-4), 4:30 p.m.: Always a fun game between these rivals as the Panthers look to keep pace with Williamson in the NTL Small School standings. The Rams come in a 2-game home win streak.


Williamson (5-1) at Troy (2-2), 4:30 p.m.: An important game district wise as both teams have big playoff ambitions in Class AA. The Warriors are currently third in the district standings, Troy is sixth.


BASEBALL

Canton (1-2) at Towanda (2-2), 4:30 p.m.: A big cross-over contest for both teams as the Warriors are battling to defend their league title, and the Black Knights want to make districts. Canton is coming off a wild loss out at Williamson.


Williamson (2-2) at Troy (2-2), 4:30 p.m.: A cross-over game for the Trojans as they look to get back on track this week. The Warriors come in after a big win over Canton.


BOYS’ TENNIS

Towanda (2-2) at Central Columbia (5-1), 4 p.m.: Towanda is coming off a tough road loss at Wellsboro, while the Blue Jays have won two straight.
