NTL BOYS' TENNIS: TOWANDA FALLS AGAINST LOYALSOCK (2025-04-17)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda dropped a 5-0 loss to Loyalsock during non-league boys’ tennis action Thursday.
The Knights came the closest to getting a win at first singles as Towanda’s Bayley Poll, and Loyalsock’s Colby Peters split. Peters won the first set 6-3, Poll won the second 6-3, with Peters taking the tie-breaker 10-7.
The Lancers swept the rest of the singles as Evan Anderson edged out Rian Hennessy 7-5, 6-3 at second singles, Ian Bower beat Matrix McCarter 6-0, 6-0 at third singles, and Nathaniel DePrenda won 6-0, 6-0 over Jameson Harkness at fourth singles.
At first doubles Peters and Anderson won 6-0, 6-0 over Poll, and Harkness, while at second doubles Towanda’s team of Hennessy, and McCarter pulled out a 6-3 win over Bower, and DePrenda.
In the point deciding match Loyalsock’s Addi Patel, and Marco Blas won 6-2 over Dominic Johnson, and Ethan Lane.
Towanda (5-4) hosts Wellsboro on Tuesday.
