NTL TRACK & FIELD: NEB GIRLS, BOYS FALL AT WELLSBORO (2025-04-23)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWELLSBORO — The NEB girls and boys both took second in NTL dual meet action Tuesday. The Lady Panthers were nipped by Wellsboro, 80-70, while the boys lost 105-45.
On the girls’ side NEB’s Lillie Maynard was second in the 100 (13.24) and in the 200 (27.69). NEB’s Gracelyn Laudermilch (29.71) was third in the 200.
NEB’s Anaiah Kolesar (1:07.30) won the 400 with teammate Anyely Reyes-Farjardo (1:14.39) in third.
Laudermilch (2:23.04) won the 800 with teammate Sophie Bennett (2:58.93) in third.
NEB swept the 1600 with Kolesar (6:17), Bennett (6:17.85), and Reyes-Farjardo (6:46.41). Bennett (15:01.26) was second in the 3200.
NEB’s Mallorie Maynard (17.52) and Kaya Frasier (18.04) went 1-2 in the 100 hurdles as Maynard (51.03) won the 300 hurdles. Amelia Kapr (54.36) was third in the 300 hurdles.
NEB’s 4x400 (4:26.36) and 4x800 (11:13.81) relays both won.
Panther Cora Franklin won the shot put (29-feet, 4 1/2-inches) and the discus (103-feet, 2 1/2-inches). Abby O’Connor (73-feet ,6-inches) was third the discus.
O’Connor (81-feet, 2-inches) and Franklin (75-feet, 10-inches) went 2-3 in the javelin.
On the boys’ side NEB’s Tyler Kuhn (55.99) won the 400 while taking third in the 200 in 25.40.
Creed Dewing (2:11.28) won the 800 with teammate Brayden Miller (2:16.42) in third. Dewing (5:07.46) also won the 1600.
Ryan Jones (10:23.58) and Jackson Martin (10:59.43) went 2-3 in the 3200.
NEB won the 4x400 (3:44.19) and 4x800 (8:54.13) relays.
Gavin Puza (5-feet, 4-inches) was third in the high jump, as Daniel Barrett (17-feet, 3-inches) was third in the long jump. Barrett (37-feet, 10-inches) also took second in the triple jump.
Ben Ellis (34-feet, 5 1/2-inches) won the shot put with teammate Tucker Hughes (30-feet, 7-inches) in third. Lex Cragle (112-feet, 5-inches) won the discus.
