NTL TRACK & FIELD: TOWANDA BOYS, GIRLS SWEEP SAYRE (2205-04-30)

TOWANDA — Towanda boys and girls picked up a pair of track and field wins over Sayre on Tuesday. The boys won 96-37, while the girls prevailed 115-14.

On the girls’ side Towanda swept the 100 with Reese Sullivan (14.43), Kennedy Heyer (15.47), and London Decker (15.95), with Katelyn Blokzyl (17.83) second in the 100 hurdles.


Kenzie Brown (6:16.53) won the 1600, as Anna Dunn (28.61) and Sullivan (30.53) went 2-3 in the 200.


The Knights swept the 3200 with Izzy Larson (13:32.55), Mary-Kate Eberlin (13:32.65), and Angie Tavani (13:51.31). Dunn (1:06.47) and Sullivan (1:13.22) went 1-2 in the 400, as the Knights won the 4x100 (1:14.49).


Eberlin (2:35.48) led a Towanda sweep of the 800, followed by Larson (2:35.50), and Melody Hakes (2:47.06).


Mya Maynard (95-feet, 7-inches) won the discus with Ali Hollett (74-feet, 2-inches) in third. Heyer (4-feet, 6-inches), Natalyn Morris (4-feet, 4-inches), and Sullivan (4-feet, 2-inches) swept the high jump.


Brynn Woodruff (99-feet, 10-inches) won the javelin with Maynard (96-feet, 10-inches), and Lilyann Sproule (80-feet) swept the javelin.


Marin Maynard (13-feet, 1-inch) won the long jump, followed by Eberlin (13-feet, 1/2-inch), and Cheyenne Morgan (12-feet, 2-inches).


Marin Maynard (9-feet) won the pole vault, followed by Morgan (8-feet), and Allexys Shaffer (7-feet). Mya Maynard (30-feet, 2 1/2-inches) won the shot put followed by teammates Hannah Petty (27-feet, 10-inches), and Sproule (27-feet, 4-inches).


London Decker (25-feet, 3-inches) won the triple jump with teammate Lexi Lamphere (25-feet, 2-inches) in second. 


Blokzyl (55.31) led a Black Knight sweep of the 300 hurdles, followed by Kylee Barnes (59.48), and Bertille Roth (1:05.13).


For the boys Jazick Brown (12.01) was second in the 100, as Aiden Blokzyl (18.58) won the 110 hurdles.


Quentin Little (5:12.58) and Jackson Frederick (5:22.99) went 1-2 in the 1600. Brown (24.78) won the 200 with teammate Markell Garner (27.12) in third.


Brown (54.28) won the 400 followed by teammates Carter Schoonover (59.82) and Anthony Rifenbark (59.98). Blokzyl (48.97) won the 300 hurdles.


Rifenbark (2:19.81) and Frederick (2:24.08) went 2-3 in the 800.


Varrius Farrell (135-feet, 3-inches) won the discus followed by teammates Jason Valdez (124-feet, 11-inches) and Brayden West (95-feet, 9-inches).


The Knights swept the high jump with Kole Heyer (5-feet, 9-inches), Garner (5-feet, 2-inches), and Sean Lauber (4-feet, 6-inches).


Jace Gunther (118-feet, 9-inches) led a Towanda sweep of the javelin. He was followed by Kolton McPeak (113-feet, 9-inches), and Dominik Miller (110-feet).


Calogero Mignano (16-feet) won the long jump with Garner (15-feet, 4 1/2-inches) in third. Brennick Lain (7-feet, 6-inches) won the pole vault, followed by teammates Jayden Fassett (7-feet) and Frederick (7-feet).


Farrell (47-feet, 6-inches) won the shot put with Miller (37-feet, 6 1/2-inches) in third. Mignano (34-feet, 5 1/2-inches) won the triple jump.
