NTL TRACK & FIELD: WYALUSING SWEEPS CANTON (2025-04-30)
Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Wyalusing boys and girls track and field earned a pair of dual meet wins in NTL action on Tuesday, with the boys beating Canton 96-53, and the girls winning 85-64.
For the girls Wyalusing’s 4x800 won in 13:30 while they swept the 100 hurdles with Liz Kilmer (19.9), Ava King (20.5), and Camryn Gesford (20.7).
Canton’s Kendall Kitchen (12.9) won the 100 with Wyalusing’s Vayda Rought (13.5) in second, and Warrior Haley Larsen (13.8) in third.
Wyalusing went 1-2-3 in the 1600 with Riley Porter (6:26), Gesford (6:41), and Ireland Coats (7:00). The Wyalusing 4x100 won in 53.3.
Canton went 1-2 in the 400 with Danah Wesneski (1:06.1) and Layla Frisbie (1:06.2), as Wyalusing’s Willa King (1:14) was third.
Megan King (53.1) won the 300 hurdles over Canton’s Savannah Boyles (53.1).
Coates (3:03.2) and Kira Allen (3:16.4) went 1-2 for the Rams in the 800 as Veronica West (3:19.1) was third for Canton.
Kitchen (28.2) and Wesneski (28.7) went 1-2 in the 200 with Wyalusing’s Carol Scarborough (29.9) taking third.
Porter (14:15) and Gesford (14:36) went 1-2 in the 3200 with Canton’s Silva Koernig (15:47) in third. Canton’s 4x400 won in 5:01.6.
Wyalusing’s Gabrielle Palfreyman (34-feet, 3-inches) won the shot put with Canton’s Alexis McRoberts (32-feet, 6-inches) in second, and teammate Emilia Pepper (29-feet, 11 1/2-inches) in third.
McRoberts (110-feet, 10-inches) won the discus with Palfreyman (94-feet, 9-inches) in second, and Pepper (67-feet, 1-inch) in third.
Wyalusing’s Abby Trowbridge (14-feet, 4 1/4-inches) won the long jump with Canton’s Stella Rockwell (14-feet, 2-inches) in second, as Rought (13-feet, 9-inches) came in third.
Rockwell (30-feet, 9 1/2-inches) won the triple jump with Wyalusing’s Alyssa Neagle (30-feet, 1-inch) and King (29-feet, 11 1/4-inches) in second and third.
Trowbridge (4-feet, 10-inches) won the high jump, followed by Larsen (4-feet, 8-inches), and King (4-feet, 4-inches).
Kitchen (10-feet) won the pole vault followed by Wyalusing’s Lia Hart (7-feet) and Storey Newell (7-feet).
Pepper (80-feet, 2-inches) won the javelin with Wyalusing’s Alexis Neiley (79-feet, 10-inches) in second, and McRoberts (74-feet) taking third.
For the boys Canton’s 4x800 relay won in 10:20.
The Rams went 1-2 in the 110 hurdles with James Rogan (16.4) and Jack Fischer (17.9), as Canton’s Thomas Guindon (18.8) was third.
Wyalusing’s Ayden Hunsinger (11.8) won the 100, followed by Canton’s Chase Petrowski (12.0), and Ram Dylan Johns (12.0).
Canton’s Lawrence Halbfoerster (4:59) won the 1600 with teammate Manuel Halbfoerster (5:02) in second, as Wyalusing’s Trennan Tewksbury (5:14) came in third.
Wyalusing’s 4x100 relay won in 46.8.
Wyalusing’s Aiden Neiley (56.4) won the 400 followed by Rogan (58.3), and Canton’s Joshua Hess (59.2).
Fischer (44.9) and teammate Jonathan Earle (46.3) went 1-2 in the 300 hurdles as Canton’s John Whitehead (46.5) was third.
Halbfoerster (2:12) won the 800 with Wyalusing’s Bradyn Johnson (2:33) in second, and Warrior Nehemiah Wolcott (2:37) in third.
Petrowski (25.5) won the 200 with Wyalusing’s John Kerin (26.0), and Mason Culver (26.6) in second and third.
Tewksbury (12:04) won the 3200 followed by teammate Connor Earle (14:36), and Canton’s Sawyer Vroman (14:46).
Canton’s 4x400 won in 3:48.
Warrior Wyatt Hilton (40-feet, 3-inches) won the shot put with Wyalusing’s Joshua Palfreyman (39-feet, 7-inches), and Ja Latini (36-feet, 8 1/2-inches) in second and third.
Hilton (115-feet, 2-inches) and teammate Talin Williams (113-feet, 9-inches) went 1-2 in the discus as Latini (104-feet, 7-inches) was third.
The Rams swept the long jump with Zibiah Walton (18-feet, 7 1/4-inches), Shay Gartland (18-feet, 3/4-inches), and Hunsinger (17-feet, 9-inches).
Walton (41-feet, 1-inch) won the triple jump with teammates Tyler Caplan (37-feet, 7-inches) and Parker Cunningham (36-feet, 1 3/4-inches) second and third.
Johns (6-feet) won the high jump followed by Kerin (5-feet, 10-inches), and Mason Culver (5-feet, 2-inches) in second and third.
Jonathan Earle (12-feet) won the pole vault with teammate Tyler Grover (8-feet) in second.
Ethan VanDerPool (134-feet, 1-inch) won the javelin with Canton’s Quincy Wesneski (118-feet, 5-inches) and Hilton (116-feet, 11-inches) in second and third.
