NTL TRACK & FIELD: TOWANDA BOYS, GIRLS FALL AT TROY (2025-05-06)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTROY — The Towanda track and field teams both fell to Troy in their dual meet season finale. The boys lost 97-61, while the girls fell 99-67.
For the girls Brynn Woodruff (104-feet, 4-inches) won the javelin with teammate Mya Maynard (86-feet, 7 1/2-inches) in third, as Katelyn Blokzyl (56.10) was second in the 300 hurdles.
On the boys’ side Kolton McPeak (130-feet, 10-inches) won the javelin.
Towanda swept the 1600 with Quentin Little (5:00.66), Anthony Rifenbark (5:03.15), and Jackson Frederick (5:13.32).
Jazick Brown (56.46) was second in the 400 as Sean Lauber (2:27.68) was third in the 800. Jayden Bartholomew (26.88) took third in the 200.
Frederick (13:19.44) won the 3200 with Kole Heyer (5-feet, 7-inches) winning the high jump. Wyatt Stranger (11-feet, 6-inches) and Tanner Vanderpool (11-feet) went 1-2 in the pole vault.
Varrius Farrell won the shot put (47-feet, 9-inches) and discus (125-feet, 8-inches). Markel Garner (16-feet, 7-inches) and Calogero Mignano (16-feet, 2-inches) went 2-3 in the long jump. Mignano (34-feet, 3 3/4-inches) won the triple jump.
Blokzyl (17.98) was second in the 100 hurdles as Reese Sullivan (14.16) was second in the 100. Sullivan (29.53) took second in the 200, as well, with Angie Tavani (13:19.60) winning the 3200.
Kennedy Heyer (4-feet, 4-inches) was second in the high jump as Marin Maynard (8-feet, 6-inches) and Cheyenne Morgan (8-feet, 6-inches) went 2-3 in the pole vault.
Towanda swept the shot put with Mya Maynard (30-feet, 3 3/4-inches), Lilyann Sproule (27-feet, 6 1/4-inches), and Gracie Johnson (27-feet, 1-inch).
Mya Maynard (94-feet, 9-inches) won the discus as Ali Hollett (72-feet, 1 1/2-inches) came in third. Marin Maynard (14-feet, 8 1/4-inches) was second in the long jump, as Woodruff (27-feet, 3 1/4-inches) and London Decker (26-feet, 8 1/2-inches) went 2-3 in the triple jump.
