NTL TRACK & FIELD: FARRELL NABS TWO GOLD FOR TOWANDA AT NTL CHAMPIONSHIPS (2025-05-10)
Northern Tier Sports ReportATHENS — The Towanda boys track and field team was sixth with 63 points at the NTL Championships on Friday.
Varrius Farrell had two wins, taking the shot put in 51-feet, 5-inches and the discus in 148-feet, 11-inches, while Jazick Brown was second in the 200 in 24.20, and third in the 400 in 51.92.
Kolton McPeak won the javelin (135-feet) with teammate Jace Gunther (126-feet, 7-inches) third, while Tanner Vanderpool tied for third in the pole vault 10-feet, 6-inches.
Jason Valdez was third in the discus at 123-feet, 11-inches, Anthony Rifenbark was eighth in the 800 (2:10.63), Jacob Carr was eighth in the 3200 (11:08.78), Kole Heyer tied for eighth in the high jump (5-feet, 6-inches), and Dominik Miller was eighth in the shot put (36-feet, 4-inches).
