NTL SOFTBALL: TOWANDA COMES UP SHORT AT HUGHESVILLE (2025-05-20)

HUGHESVILLE — Towanda couldn’t find their bats as they fell to Hughesville, 3-0, during District IV, Class AAA quarterfinal playoff softball action Tuesday.

The Knights were held to three hits in the contest as the Spartans a run in the third, then added two more in the fifth.

Brooklyn Evans (1-for-3), Aleah Johnson (1-for-3), and Kynlee Kunkle (1-for-2) had the three Towanda hits.

Tae-Lynn Brabant struck out eight in the loss, while allowing six hits, one walk, and three runs.

Perry got to second off a steal in the third, while Kunkle would get to second in the sixth off a hit and error. However, that’s the closest Towanda came to scoring a run.

Towanda finishes the season 12-7.
