NTL FOOTBALL: TROY'S CHIMICS THRILLED TO BE GOING TO BLOOMSBURG (2025-06-04)

Lincoln Chimics, one of Troy’s most versatile weapons this past fall, will be looking to take his explosive playmaking to Bloomsburg University in 2026.

“I am very excited to be playing football, especially at Bloomsburg,” he said. “Growing up I didn’t know what I wanted to play in college or even if I wanted to play at the next level, but I am glad I decided on football.”

Chimics felt the coaching at Bloomsburg was what drew him there.

“What made me decide on Bloomsburg was most definitely coach Frank Sheptock,” he said. “He was one of the few coaches to look in District IV for undiscovered talent. He made it a priority to build a connection with me beyond the sport of football. So ultimately it was Coach Sheptock.”

He’ll join Canton’s Riley Parker, along with teammate Eason Teribury.

“Being able to continue playing with one of my lifelong friends and teammate is going to be a bigger blessing than even I know right now,” said Chimics. “We have grown together through football and life situations. And I can’t wait to see what Bloomsburg has in store for the both of us.”

Chimics was a threat in all facets of the game - with over 800 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns, five interceptions, and four returns for touchdowns - and hopes to bring those skills, along with the intangibles, to the Huskies.

“I believe I speak for both Eason and I when I say we will bring the “Championship Mindset” to Bloomsburg,” he said. “We have had a lot of success at Troy and know what it takes to win at the highest level.”
