NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TROY'S BARRETT NAMED THE NTL PLAYER OF THE YEAR (2021-03-21)

Troy’s Ty Barrett was named the NTL Boys’ Basketball Player of the Year by the coaches on Sunday.

Barrett led Troy to their first NTL Division-I title in 11 years.

NP-Liberty’s Noah Spencer was named the Offensive Player of the Year with Wyalusing’s Mitchell Burke the Defensive Player of the Year.

NP-Mansfield’s Curt Craig took home the 6th Player of the Year honors, as Brian Litzelman of NPL earned the Coach of the Year award.

The First Team Large School consists of Athens’ JJ Babcock and Mason Lister, Troy’s Mason Imbt and Ethan VanNoy, and Wellsboro’s Liam Manning and Darryn Callahan.

The Second Team is made up of Troy’s Jake Deitrick, Wellsboro’s Conner Adams, NPM’s Alex Stein and Karson Dominick and Athens’ Tucker Brown and Nolan Carling. 

For Small School the First Team is made up of NPL’s Brandon Thompson, Canton’s Isaiah Niemczyk, Wyalusing’s Grady Cobb and Isaiah Way, NEB’s Nick Beers and CV’s McGuire Painter.

On the Second Team are NEB’s Lucas Crown, NPL’s Colton Litzelman, Canton’s Caiden Williams and Cooper Kitchen, Sayre’s Dom Fabbri and Wyalusing’s Blake Morningstar.
