LITTLE LEAGUE: TOWANDA MINORS USES BIG THIRD INNING TO DOWN ALLEGHENY MOUNTAIN (2025-06-19)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda picked up a 16-4 win over Allegheny Mountain in four innings during District 15 Little League Minors baseball action Thursday.
It was close after one with Allegheny Mountain taking a 4-3 lead. Towanda went ahead with a 3-run second, then pulled away with a 10-run third innings.
Rhys Tuttle (2-for-3) had two doubles, 2-RBI, and two runs scored, as Diego DeLa (2-for-2) had a double, three runs scored, and an RBI.
Grant Nash (1-for-2) had a double with 2-RBI, and two runs scored, while Logan McNeal (2-for-3) had a double, two runs scored, and an RBI.
Brayden Boone (2-for-3) scored twice, and drove in a run, with Lincoln Holcomb (3-for-3) going perfect from the plate with 2-RBI, and a run scored.
Will Eberlin (2-for-3) scored, and drove in a run, while Ryker Fulmer (1-for-2) scored, and had an RBI, as well.
Cameron Whitson (1-for-2) and Kyson Dieffenbach (1-for-3) both scored, with Sawyer Vanderpool driving in a run.
DeLa started, and went an inning with two strikeouts, while Eberlin went the final three innings with six strikeouts.
Towanda travels to Southern Tioga on Saturday with a 3 p.m. start in the quarterfinals.
