LITTLE LEAGUE: RTL MAJORS BASEBALL GETS WALK-OFF WIN OVER MONTROSE (2025-06-21)

WYALUSING — RTL Majors baseball has a penchant for thrillers as they played in their second straight walk-off, this time coming out on top 4-3 over Montrose in District 15 Little League bracket play Friday.

RTL led 3-1 after one, but Montrose chipped with runs in the fourth and sixth to send it to extra innings. In the bottom of the seventh a fielder’s choice off the bat of Noah Shaffer brought in Parker Sands for the win.

Wesley Kershner (2-for-3) had a double with a run scored, as Sands (2-for-4) scored twice. Weston Maines (2-for-2) also scored, as Nolan Putnam (1-for-2) had an RBI.

Shaffer drove I two runs, with Jackson Case (1-for-3) and Sawyer Clouse (1-for-3) each getting hits.

Sands started, and went 1 1/3-innings with two strikeouts, as Aiden Nystrand went the next 2 2/3-innings with four strikeouts.

Shaffer struck out four in 2 2/3-innings of action, while Clouse struck out the only batter he faced.

RTL travels to Elk Lake on Sunday with a 4 p.m. start.
