LITTLE LEAGUE: CANTON MINORS SOFTBALL ROLLS PAST TUNKHANNOCK (2025-06-21)
Northern Tier Sports ReportCANTON — Canton Minors softball stayed alive as they rolled past Tunkhannock, 12-1 in four innings, during District 15 Little League bracket action Friday.
After a 1-1 first inning Canton pushed two across in the second. They broke the game open with six in the third, then ended things with three more runs in the fourth.
Leah Ross (3-for-3) had a double, 2-RBI, and two runs scored, as Elle Davy (2-for-2) scored twice, and had an RBI.
Charlotte Driscoll (2-for-2) had 2-RBI with a run scored, as Kate Fitzwater (1-for-2) crossed home twice.
Madison Schultz (1-for-1) had an RBI with two runs scored, while Dylilah Westbrook (1-for-2) had 2-RBI with a run scored.
Karleigh Anderson scored twice, with Angel Young and Lakelyn Gleckner both driving in a run. Addy Sharrow (1-for-2) had a hit.
Lydia Jennings went two innings with four strikeouts, as Ross struck out six in two innings of relief.
Canton travels to RTL on Sunday with a 4 p.m. start.
