LITTLE LEAGUE: RTL TOPS CANTON IN EXTRA INNINGS DURING MINOR SOFTBALL (2025-06-22)

WYALUSING — It took extra innings but RTL used an 8-run seventh to break a 4-4 tie in their 12-4 win over Canton during District 15 Little League Minors Softball action Sunday.

RTL led 2-1 after two, then took a 4-1 lead after the fifth. Canton rallied with three runs in the sixth to send it into extra innings.

RTL responded with an 8-run inning, then held Canton scoreless in the bottom half to stay alive.

Hattie Sheldon (2-for-4) scored twice, and had an RBI, as Aubri Brown (2-for-4) had a double, a triple, two runs scored, and an RBI.

Stella Sheldon (2-for-3) had a double, two runs scored, and an RBI, with Brooklyn Mosher (1-for-3) hitting a triple, to go with a run scored, and an RBI.

Mollee Warner (1-for-4) drove in two runs with a run scored, as Arabella Doty scored twice, and had an RBI.

Hadley Adams and Skylar Gamble both scored and drove in a run, as Madelyn Sweeley (1-for-3) had an RBI.

Warner went the distance, striking out 10.

Elle Davy (2-for-3) scored, and drove in a run, for Canton as Katy Fitzwater (1-for-3) scored, and had an RBI.

Karleigh Anderson (1-for-3) had an RBI, as Parker Hoover and Lydia Jennings both scored a run.

Dylilah Westbrook (1-for-3), Leah Ross (1-for-2), and Addy Sharrow (1-for-2) each had a hit.

Jennings started, and went two innings with four strikeouts. Ross finished out, striking out 12 to reach 100 strikeouts in Little League play.
