LITTLE LEAGUE: TOWANDA RALLIES IN FIFTH TO BEAT CANTON DURING MINORS BASEBALL (2025-06-23)

TOWANDA — Towanda used a fifth inning rally to pull past Canton for a 5-4 win in District 15 Little League Minors Baseball action Monday.

Towanda jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second, but Canton used a run in the third, and two more in the fourth to go up 3-2.

Towanda came back with three runs in the fifth to take a 2-run lead. Canton pushed one across in the top of the sixth, and had bases loaded, but Towanda’s Diego DeLaO got the final strikeout to secure the win.

Logan McNeal (2-for-3) had ad double with a run scored for Towanda, and an RBI, as Rhys Tuttle (2-for-3) drove in a run.

DeLaO (1-for-3) had a double with a run scored, and an RBI, with Grant Nash scoring, and driving in a run.

Sawyer Vanderpool and Cameron Whitson both scored.

Will Eberlin, Vanderpool, Tuttle, and DeLaO all combined for 10 strikeouts from the mound.

Tyson Bassett (3-for-3) had a double with a run scored, as Ike Preston (3-for-3) scored, and drove in a run.

Weston Driscoll (1-for-2) scored, as Abe Pepper (1-for-3) had an RBI. 

Tommy Cochran (1-for-2) had a hit as Beau Bassett scored a run.

Avery Moore started, and went 2 2/3-innings with four strikeouts, while Cam Eberlin tossed one-third of an inning, striking out one.

Tyson Bassett pitched the final two innings with six strikeouts.
