LITTLE LEAGUE: ELK LAKE FALLS IN EXTRA INNINGS TO KEYSTONE (2025-07-12)
Northern Tier Sports ReportATHENS — It took extra innings in the opening round of Majors baseball during the Section III Tournament, but Elk Lake fell to Keystone, 7-2, on Saturday in seven innings.
Keystone went up 1-0 in the top of the first but a Trenton Miller 2-run home run in the bottom half of the inning put Elk Lake up 2-1.
Keystone tied it with a run in the second, and the two teams were deadlocked until the top of the seventh, when Keystone pushed five runs across to get the win.
Miller (1-for-3), Tanner Rezykowski (1-for-3), and Corbin Laudermilch (1-for-1) had the three Elk Lake hits, with Rezykowski also scoring a run.
Kaden Netherton walked twice.
On the mound Miller, Netherton, and Kipton Ruark combined for three strikeouts.
Elk Lake drops down to the consolation round where they’ll take on the loser of Selinsgrove and Tri-Valley on Sunday with a 4:30 p.m. start.
