LITTLE LEAGUE: ELK LAKE MAJORS BASEBALL FALLS IN EXTRA INNINGS TO TRI-VALLEY (2025-07-13)
Northern Tier Sports ReportATHENS — It was another extra innings thriller for Elk Lake Majors baseball, and, unfortunately, they came out on the wrong end again falling to Tri-Valley 4-3 in seven innings in the Section III consolation bracket.
Tri-Valley led 2-0 after one with Elk Lake getting on the scoreboard in the second. They tied it up in the fifth, but in the seventh Tri-Valley out scored them 2-1 for the win.
Aiden Lunger (2-for-3) scored, and drove in a run, as Kaden Netherton (1-for-3) also had a hit. Trenton Miller and Kipton Ruark both scored, while Brant Shalata drove in a run.
Kipton started, and went 2 2/3-innings with two strikeouts, with Chase Vallone going 1 1/3-innings. Colt Shores pitched the final two innings, striking out one.
