NTL GOLF: SAVERCOOL LEADS TOWANDA TO WIN AT TYOGA (2025-08-18)

WELLSBORO — Towanda saw two golfers break 80 as they stayed undefeated in NTL action, sweeping at Tyoga Country Club Monday.

Towanda (322) edged out Athens (323) by one to improve to 21-0, with Wellsboro (341) taking third. NP-Mansfield (346) was fourth, followed by Wyalusing (376), CV (386), Canton (405), and Sayre (554).

Owen Savercool shot 75 to earn medalist honors and lead the Knights, with Boom Thompson carding a 77.

Savercool had birdies on the par-4 first hole, the par-3 eighth hole, and the par-5 14th hole. He also had 10 pars on the day.

Thompson had one birdie - taking a three on the par-4 ninth hole - and a match high 11 pars.

Graham Welles shot 82 with three birdies - par-4 first hole, par-5 14th hole, and the par-5 17th hole. He also carded six pars.

Baylee Clark notched an 88 with four pars, as Jason Wickwire shot 89 with five pars and a birdie on the par-3 10th hole.

Josh Maye notched a 95 with four pars to round out the Knights.

The Lady Knights shot 308 on the day as Olivia Heath and Izzy Repsher both shot 101 with three pars.

Payton Perry notched a 106 with two pars, as Rosie Glantz carded a 110 with one par.

Clara Glantz finished with a 113 with one par, and Maggie Glantz had a 117.

Towanda returns home on Monday, August 25 with a 4:30 p.m. in 9-hole action.
