AOW: CANTON'S GARDNER, WYALUSING'S BLY POST BIG WEEKS IN SEASON DEBUTS (2025-08-24)

Most of the other Fall sports started this week as several area athletes shined in their season debuts.

For Canton football Bailey Gardner rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries to help them edge out Northwest, making him the Male Athlete of the Week.

Wyalusing’s Addisyn Bly had four goals and an assist as the Rams claimed the Meadowbrook Christian Academy Tournament title, earning her the Female Athlete of the Week.
