NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: WYALUSING GIRLS SWEEP TROY, NEB (2025-09-10)

EAST TROY — Wyalusing girls cross-country earned a sweep against NEB and Troy during NTL dual meet action Tuesday.
The Rams beat NEB 24-33 and the Trojans 19-38 as NEB edged Troy 16-20.
The two wins keep Wyalusing near the top of the Small School standings.
“They did incredible,” Wyalusing coach Lori Kingsley said. “They’ve been working really hard. They’ve been doing what I’ve asked of them, and it’s starting to pay off, especially on a tough course like today with a lot of hills.”
NEB’s Sophie Bennett (22:39) won the race with Wyalusing’s Megan King (24:15) in second.
Panther Ruth Laudermilch (24:42) was third while the Rams took the next two spots with Riley Porter (25:38) and Camryn Gesford (26:43).
Troy’s Alyssa Rinebold (27:35) was sixth, as Wyalusing’s Marci Gowin (27:56) came in seventh.
Troy’s duo of Kalyn Keltz (29:27) and Sheridan Wilcox (29:33) were eighth and ninth with Ireland Coats (29:34) rounding out Wyalusing’s top five in 10th.
NEB’s Clare Dewing (30:35) and Riley Lamson (34:59) was 11th and 13th, with Troy’s Sara VanNoy in 14th.
“I heard a lot about it beforehand,” Kingsley said about Mt. Pisgah’s hills. “These courses will only make you stronger in the long run, so I am incredibly proud of all these kids.”
NEB’s Julia Laudermilch (10:38) won the junior high girls’ race.
