NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: WYALUSING BOYS TOP ATHENS, CV (2025-09-16)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWYALUSING — The Wyalusing boys’ cross-country team edged out Athens to earn a 2-0 sweep during NTL tri-meet action Tuesday.
The Rams beat Athens 27-28 and CV 23-36, while the Wildcats won over CV 21-35.
Athens’ Jacob Shores (18:32) won the race followed by Wyalusing’s Aidan Neiley (18:40). Also for the Rams Parker Cunningham (20:47) was fifth, Griffin Sheldon (21:27) came in seventh, Cody Tuttle (21:33.1) was ninth, and Tyler Caplan (21:41) took 10th.
For the girls Wyalusing fell to Athens (25-32) but beat CV (25-30). Athens won over CV 23-37.
Athens’ Alissa Vough (21:44) won the race with CV’s Natalie Yonker (22:51) in second.
Megan King (23:49) took third to lead the Rams as Riley Porter (25:10) was sixth. Camryn Gesford (25:42) came in ninth, Ireland Coats (27:04) was 10th, and MacKenna Brewer (31:04) finished 17th.
The Rams had two runners-up in the junior high race, with Caleb King (11:15) taking second for the boys, and Reese Patrick (12:15) in second for the girls.
