NTL GOLF: TOWANDA GIRLS REPEAT AS D4 CHAMPS, PUNCH THEIR TICKET TO SUB-REGIONAL (2025-10-02)

Northern Tier Sports Report
MONTGOMERY — It was a nail-biter for the Towanda girls’ golf team at the District IV Team Championships Wednesday.

The Lady Knights pulled away from Loyalsock to defend their crown, but needed to shoot 300 or better as a team to qualify for the sub-regional on October 14.

It was nip-and-tuck the whole way, but their scoring three of Rosie Glantz, Clara Glantz, and Izzy Repsher did enough down the stretch for them hit 300 on the dot to qualify.

Rosie Glantz (99) and Clara Glantz (100) both qualified for the individual district tournament, while Repsher (101) just missed the cut by one stroke.

Olivia Heath shot 107, while Payton Perry notched a 114.

Starting on two Rosie was on pace to be over 100 at the turn but posted a strong back nine, shooting 8-over from 10-through-17 before a triple bogey set her back on 18.

She came back with a bogey on the first hole to secure her spot at districts.

Clara played a strong front nine with a team best 46 but two nines on 14 and 16 put her on the brink. She got bogeys on 17 and 18 to stay afloat, then scored a par on her final hole, number-1, to punch her ticket to districts.

Rosie and Clara had two pars apiece.

Repsher was playing in the group behind the Glantz’s and opened the day with an eight.

However, she recovered after that, shooting a 41 on eight of the front nine holes.

Repsher wavered a little bit on the back nine, posting an eight on 12, and a seven on 13, but over the final five holes of she was 7-over to keep her team in the hunt.

On number-1 she missed the five she needed to punch her ticket to the individual district tournament, but did sink the putt to send her team to the sub-regional.

She had three pars on the day.

The freshman Heath had two pars, while Perry had the team’s lone birdie - taking a two on the par-3 13th - to go with two pars.

Towanda will compete at Williamsport Country Club on Tuesday, October 14 in the sub-regional.
