NTL GOLF: TOWANDA HAS FOUR MAKE THE CUT AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF DISTRICTS (2025-10-10)

MONTGOMERY — Towanda had four boys make the cut at the first day of the District IV, Class AA Boys’ Individual Championship Thursday.

Boom Thompson (78) sat in third place, two strokes behind the leader, while Graham Welles (80) was tied for fourth.

Baylee Clark (83) was tied for 12th, three strokes out of the top-8, while Owen Savercool (87) was tied for 17th.

Thompson was steady throughout, shooting 39s on the both the front and back. He had birdies on the par-5 second and eighth holes to go with 10 pars.

Welles had a 42 on the front, and a 38 on the back as he had birdies on the par-4 12th, par-3 13th, and par-5 18th, along with a birdie on the par-4 fifth hole. He finished with four pars on the day.

Clark and a 38 on the front and finished with a 45 on the back. He did have a birdie on the par-5 second hole to go with eight pars on the day.

Savercool had a 42 on the front, and a 45 on the back as he nabbed birdies on the par-5 second hole, and par-4 sixth hole. He also had four pars on the day.

Those four will finish out the tournament on Saturday at Williamsport Country Club.

Josh Maye (95) and Jason Wickwire (97) both just missed the cut, which was at 90.

Maye shot 46 on the back, and 49 on the front with five pars, while Wickwire shot 46 on the front, and 51 on the back behind three pars.
