NTL VOLLEYBALL: TROY HOLDS ON TO BEAT WYALUSING IN TIGHT SWEEP (2025-10-10)

Northern Tier Sports Report
WYALUSING — Troy volleyball earned a hard fought sweep over Wyalusing during NTL action Thursday.

The Trojans won all three sets by just eight points - 25-22, 25-23, and 25-22.

“It feels pretty good, especially with the last couple of games we’ve played we’ve kind of been all over the place with each set, so it feels good to have three clean ones right in a row,” said Troy coach Abby Herman-Deitrick. “They’re really close sets, and Wyalusing looks really good, so it feels nice to be there.”

As for the Rams, coach Renee Broschart felt her team showed a lot of growth as they battled the defending NTL Large School champions.

“It speaks to the mental side of the game, and how much this team, these bunch of girls have worked at being mentally tougher,” she said. “That’s a huge part of the game in general, and tonight it showed. We stayed with them, we fought back when we needed to, and we were so close.”

Haidyn Watson had 11 kills, and five digs for Troy as Aryana Andrus notched 10 kills, and one block.

Brenna Jackson had 22 assists, one kill, one ace, and eight digs, as Alli Bailey notched 14 digs, three assists, and seven aces.

Liana Lyon had four aces, and two digs, with Alexa Lawrence getting three kills, two aces, and four digs.
