NTL FOOTBALL: CANTON FALLS AT WELLSBORO (2025-10-11)

WELLSBORO — The short handed Canton Warriors fell 49-7 to Wellsboro during NTL football action Friday.

The Hornets jumped out to a 42-0 lead before Canton got on the scoreboard midway through the second quarter.

Owen Moore hit Rylan Wesneski for a 22-yard scoring strike with 5:00 left in the second got Canton on the scoreboard. Alexis McRoberts hit the point after.

Wellsboro opened the scoring with a 6-yard Griffin Morral run, followed by Dylan Copp punching one in from 3-yards out for a 14-0 lead after the 2-point conversion.

Morral then hit Kody Enck for a 26-yard scoring strike to make it 21-0 at the first horn.

Enck then had back to back interception returns to the house for a 35-0 lead with 10:41 left in the half.

Marek Mascho then scampered 22-yards to pay dirt to make it 42-0.

Morral ended the first half scoring with a 22-yard run for a 49-7 score at the break.

Moore went 9-for-17 for 161-yards and score while Brayden Tucker ran the ball four times for 30-yards to lead Canton.

Ryder Route had three catches for 93-yards to lead the Warriors while Wesneski hauled in two catches for 25-yards.

Marek Mascho ran for 117-yards on 13 carries for Wellsboro as Morral had eight carries for 75-yards. 

Morral was also 3-for-3 throwing the ball for 47-yards.

Canton travels to Sayre next Saturday.
