It was quite a week for area athletes with golfers battling for a spot at states, NTL runners coming together on Panther Lane, while soccer, volleyball, and football teams fight for the playoffs.

On the girls’ side Towanda’s Clara Glantz became the first female golf state qualifier in 32 years as she took third at the District IV, Class AA Individual Championships. Glantz shot 100 on Thursday and 99 on Saturday to qualify, earning
