NTL WRESTLING: CANTON'S VERMILYA REACHES SEMIFINALS OF ULTIMATE WARRIOR (January 23, 2026)

Canton’s Levi Vermilya reached the semifinals of the Ultimate Warrior Tournament on Friday, with Carson Rockwell, and Leland Pepper both still alive.

Vermilya (107) went 3-0, getting a 2:28 fall in the first round, followed by a 44 second fall int he second.

In the quarterfinals he won 4-3 to reach the final four.

Rockwell (160) won his first three bouts by fall - 41 seconds, 4:39, and 28 seconds - before falling in the quarterfinals by a 15-0 tech fall.

Pepper (189) won his first two bouts, the opener 8-3, the second with a fall in 5:24, while he lost by fall in the quarterfinals.

Tommy Preston (145) went 3-2, as Blane Wesneski (172) went 2-2. Carson Castle (114) was 1-2, while Gavin Sharp (133), and Owen Moore (139) both went 0-2.

Wrestling will conclude on Saturday.
